150 hp outboard

150 hp outboard
I have a 150 hp Mercury outboard (1975) that only closes lower as if it were turned the key, which could be bad?

The boat will take off and run fine, but after 10 minutes or so everything is shut down just as you turn the key not spray or anything, just dead. Starts back up after a few minutes, but will remain closed. I just wanted to ask some of the experts out there what they thought might be happening … Thank you very much

spark test after it turns off. pretty sure it is losing spark. if I had to guess, without knowing anything else about the engine, I'm with heat-related failure of the ignition module.
