Is it more expensive to fix a boat, or a car?

So we’ve had our boat for a while now, and this is the first time we’ve ever had to put it in to get it fix. Not sure how much it will run us. Don’t even know what is wrong with it besides the fact that it will not start. So I wasn’t sure if I should expect a bill like I get when one of the cars go in the shop or a bigger/less bill?

about like taking your car to the dealership (vs your trusted neighborhood mechanic)….you won’t get outta there for less than $350.

And I agree with David, boat needs lots of maintenance if you use it a lot.

Funny thing is, it also needs lots of maintenance if you don’t use it much.

Thing about boats is, they sit around idle for weeks or even months, and sitting around idle is hard on machinery. Then they get rode hard and put up wet. Shock & vibration and corrosive marine environment is hard on machinery, too.
